Editor's take
Root canal treatment (RCT) removes infected pulp and seals the canal, saving the natural tooth (AED 1,500–4,500 in the UAE, plus a crown). Extraction removes the tooth (AED 300–900) but leaves a gap that usually needs an implant or bridge, raising the total cost above RCT. UAE endodontists recommend saving the tooth wherever the crown and root structure allow.
