Editor's take
Every dentist in the UAE must be licensed by one of the three health regulators. DHA governs Dubai; DoH (formerly HAAD) governs Abu Dhabi emirate including Al Ain; MOHAP covers Sharjah, Ajman, RAK, Fujairah and UAQ. A licence is emirate-specific: a DHA-licensed dentist cannot practise in Abu Dhabi without a separate DoH licence. All three regulators publish public licence-verification portals.
